Join Us on a Road Trip from Grumble to Humble:
God has broken the power of Pharaoh through ten devastating plagues, and Israel is on the move toward the Promised Land. However, when difficulties arise, the Israelites fail to trust in God’s power and choose to whine and complain instead. Through forty years of wandering, God trains His people to trust Him and to follow His ways. They finally arrive in Canaan, thankful for all that God has done.
In the same way, God has freed us from the grip of sin through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus. As obedient believers, we are on our own wilderness road trip, heading for our promised land — Heaven. Jesus is the only way, and God has the strength and power to get us home. Say "no" to whining and complaining. Say "yes" to obeying and following on this VBS road trip adventure.
This year's Vacation Bible School is set as a road trip fromGrumble to Humble. We will learn from the Israelites that God is willing to lead those who humble themselves to His plans and directions. Grumbling and complaining only make the travels more difficult.
"Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content." (Philippians 4:11)

The Race Is On!
Warm up, train hard, run your best race! This series will help your students finish strong when it comes to living for God. We will discuss putting on God's armor, helping others by loving your neighbor, seeking good friends, doing your best at all times, and learning to be like Jesus. "Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us... looking unto Jesus" (Hebrews 12:1-2). The Race Is On! will help your students stay on track in their daily lives.
Lesson Aims
LAP 1: To encourage students to be prepared to live their lives using the tools God provides.
LAP 2: Find Your Stride--Help Others To teach students that greatness in God's sight comes through caring for others and serving them.
LAP 3: Win a Medal--Seek Good Friends To stress the importance of choosing friends who have good character.
LAP 4: Set a Record--Always Do Your Best To show students that we are all different and that we should use the talents God has given us in a productive way.
LAP 5: Endure to the Finish--Be Like Jesus To learn the qualities of Jesus and challenge students to grow to be more like Him every day.
